CDMRP: Neurofibromatosis Research Program

The FY26 Defense Appropriations Act provides funding for the NFRP to support innovative, high-impact research with clinical relevance that will improve the understanding, diagnosis and treatment Neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis to enhance the quality of life for persons with these disorders.

The NFRP provides the information in this pre-announcement to allow investigators time to plan and develop ideas for submission to the anticipated FY26 funding opportunities.

CDMRP Prostate Cancer Research Program

The FY26 Defense Appropriations Act provides funding for the PCRP to support innovative, high-impact research with clinical relevance that will eliminate death and suffering from prostate cancer. As part of the DHA R&D-MRDC, the CDMRP is the program office managing these anticipated FY26 funding opportunities.

The PCRP provides the information in this pre-announcement to allow investigators time to plan and develop ideas for submission to the anticipated FY26 funding opportunities.

Cures Within Reach Funding Opportunity

Cures Within Reach has an open Request for Proposals (RFP) for Clinical Repurposing Research to Impact US Veterans/Military. This RFP supports clinical trials that repurpose approved drugs, devices, nutraceuticals and/or diagnostics, as well as combination therapies to address unmet and high-priority medical needs of US veterans/military, including mental health, PTSD and brain injuries.

2026 WIVR Research Grant Program

WIVR is pleased to invite research proposals for the 2026 WIVR Research Grant Program, which provides up to $30,000 in start up funding to support pilot studies by new VA investigators.

Proposal deadline is May 30, 2026 (by midnight)

Grants and Contract Support

WIVR receives funds for research from various external federal funding agencies, industry, foundation, and non-profit organizations.

Our current federal sponsors include the Department of Defense, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institutes of Health. We also have active sponsored research programs funded by 45+ pharmaceutical and medical foundations.

Proposal requirements will vary between sponsors. Principal Investigators (PIs) considering a proposal should contact the WIVR grant manager early in the submission process to allow sufficient time for review and preparation of the required materials and to meet our internal deadlines.
